elf just released another new drugstore dupe and it’s gone viral in less than two weeks since it was on the shelves. The new elf Camo Liquid Blushes are only $7, but offer light and long-wearing color, lots of pigmentation, easy blendability, and a gorgeous glowy finish.

There are currently 9 shades in the product line, although they have been quite hard to get hold of. Personally, I had to go to two different stores and ask the staff to take a product from the back as they had them in stock but not yet on display. I was able to snag three shades that caught my eye.

Let’s get to the topic: I love these. The formula is potent and a little goes a long way. Above, I have deliberately confronted too a lot of product to show you the shades more clearly – one dot will really be enough in most cases. However, I found all three swatch shades much warmer than they appear in online photos. Maybe it’s my skin color? Also…ignore the goosebumps in the above photo. Cold!

This formula contains hyaluronic acid, rose water and hibiscus flower extract that feel comfortable on the skin with a smooth finish. Although the brand describes the finish as pink, I’d say it has a more natural glowy look once it settles onto your skin. The blush stays vibrant, even and smooth throughout the day – it looked freshly applied even after wearing it for 10 hours, pictured above! No fading, no stains.

elf also released their new Liquid blush brush, which works great for applying this formula evenly. This is one of the softest brushes I’ve ever felt from them and a steal for $5! But you can still get a very even mixture by tapping with your fingers.

Now, they are elf Camo Liquid Blushes really scammers of Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blushes? I would say… they are close as hell. The texture of their formulas are so similar to feel and blend, and both are extremely pigmented and long lasting. I will say that I did notice that Rare Beauty’s blush is a little more dewy than elf, but the difference is minor.

Comparing shades Soft purple from elf and Encourage by Rare Beauty, they look very similar blended on the skin. In the first sample, Encourage it looks much cooler, but the gap between them closes when you use a realistic amount, as seen below.

Both shades perform identically when it comes to staying power and full coverage on the skin throughout the day. There were a few times where I forgot which side was which when doing this wear test, which was enough to classify them as dupes! If you want to watch the full comparison, check out the video below:

All in all, whether you’re really looking for a Rare Beauty dupe or just a reliable liquid blush, elf Camo Liquid Blushes in my eyes they are the best in the drugstore when it comes to ease of use, color and effectiveness. This kind of quality for under $10 is absolutely mind blowing.
