Dior Beauty Forever Glow Star Filter & Maximizer

I have a look at something new from Dior Beauty today that I have been loving! Dior launched new liquid highlighters and skin enhancers called Forever Glow Star Filter ($55 each) & Glow Maximizer ($45 each). They also added some new shades of Addict Lip Maximizer ($40), which I have a closer look at today.

Dior Forever Glow Star Filter

Dior added a multi-use skin enhancer called the Forever Glow Star Filter. These are similar in concept to the elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter and Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter – you can wear these on bare skin as a primer, mixed with foundation or layered on top of foundation as a subtle highlight. There are 10 shades available in the Dior lineup. I’m usually a 2.5 or 3 in their foundation so I ordered Shade 2 and Shade 3 in the Forever Glow Star Filter.

Both have a very smooth glow to them. The shimmer particles are very fine so I can wear it all over my face without looking like a disco ball. I would say that the degree of shimmer on your skin will depend on which color you choose. Shade 2 is lighter than my skin tone and the brightness/contrast makes it look more glowy on my skin, while Shade 3 matches better and has a more subtle glow effect as it’s closer to my skin tone.

Formula is on the medium thin side so it doesn’t feel heavy and it melts in and sets nicely. I wouldn’t say it has a matte dry down, but at the same time it’s not super emollient. It’s somewhere in the middle – I think it’s perfect.

Overall love the look, feel and lasting power of Dior. The undertones, texture and shimmers are different from the others on the market, but there are enough similarities, I don’t think you need all three. I really like that Dior comes with a pump versus a sponge applicator. It seems more hygienic to me. Dior has fragrance in it, but it’s low on the ingredient list and I don’t really notice it. If I was forced to choose 1 out of the 3, I feel like I would be most inclined to choose the elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter. The shimmer is the most natural, making it easy to wear all over the face without emphasizing fine lines or texture even on my bad skin days. (elf Halo Glow filter in action on the skin here.)

Forever Glow Maximizer

Dior also added six shades of a more intense liquid highlighter called Forever Glow Maximizer. I picked up three and really like it! These are very shimmery with a good amount of pigment. They’re easier to blend than the Rare Beauty Liquid Luminizers, but I’d say the pigment level is pretty close.

Gold is a beautiful warm gold shimmer. Peachy is a slightly peachy champagne. Rosy is a darker pink rose which works as a blush for my skin tone. I found the shades I picked up to be different from the others in my highlighter stash, but there are some that are pretty close – close enough to be the same on the skin.

New Dior Addict Lip Maximizers

Dior added a few new shades of Addict Lip Maximizers which seem to be exclusive to Dior.com and I ordered 2 of them. Frosted Pink is a beautiful cool pink shimmer. It’s better than Shimmer Candy (reviewed here), as the shimmer in Frosted Pink is more refined compared to straight up frost.

Shimmery Spice is a beautiful peachy copper shimmer with a little bit of rose, pink and gold mixed in. I love it. I love them both. Both on the lips in action here.

That concludes my Dior Beauty newness haul review! I really love everything I hauled. I don’t know if I would call the complexion highlighters must haves since there are so many dupes on the market, but I really love the finish, the colors and the undertones.

I think the new glosses are must-haves. I think the colors are really nice.
