My sweet MBB,

I don’t know how this happened, but I blinked and suddenly you were 17.

My first baby is no longer my baby.

Remember when you were very young and we didn’t know each other that well? Oh, those funny pictures we used to take in that old apartment years and years ago.

You’re officially an adult now and I’m proud of you. I feel like I got to see you blossom and now I’m releasing you into the world so you can take it on with your own set of beautiful, shiny wings.

I will always cherish the adventures we had and all the memories we made together. You have profoundly shaped my life in so many ways. Being with you made me the person I am today.

I don’t think I’ll ever have enough ways to thank you for everything you’ve given me.

I wished in the universe to do something great and the stars sent me to you.
