Ingredients for Healthy Tacos with Ground Turkey Meat

  • Ground Turkey: It has a lower fat content than beef.
  • Tortillas: You can use baby corn tortillas or crispy tacos.
  • Seasoning ingredients: Chili powder, ground cumin, ground chipotle, and salt.

How to Make Ground Türkiye Tacos

Wrap tortillas in foil and stir in vegetables.

Step 1: Turn on the machine and prepare the tortillas.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Wrap soft tortillas in overlapping aluminum foil into two packages. Place the tortillas in the hot oven to warm. Or if using crispy shells Follow instructions for reheating before serving.

Step 2: Cook the Vegetables

Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add the pepper, onion, and garlic and cook, stirring frequently, until the vegetables are soft and beginning to brown. This step should take about 5 to 8 minutes.

Step 3: Add Türkiye

Add ground turkey and cook, breaking into small pieces. When the Turkey Meat is Opaque Until the turkey is fully cooked – this will take about 4 to 6 minutes.

Step 4: Add the Taco Seasoning Blend.

Sprinkle the ground turkey mixture with chili powder, cumin, salt, and chipotle and stir everything together until fragrant. This takes about 30 to 90 seconds.

Step 5: Add Tomato Paste

Add the crushed tomatoes and water and stir until the tomatoes dissolve into the water and form a sauce to coat the turkey mixture.

Step 6: Serve with toppings.
